Nathan Shu is a theatre artist from Houston, Texas currently living in New York City. He received his B.A. in Directing from Webster Conservatory of Theatre arts in St. Louis. He is interested in using the language of space and time to deepen, complicate, and disrupt our understanding of what it means to exist as humans. He is deeply influenced by the work of Robert Wilson, Tadashi Suzuki, Anne Bogart, Mary Overlie, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, and Solange Knowles.
